WANTED: Bike Riders this Sunday.

After months of planning and hard work, Norwich’s first season long circuit racing series is almost here. All we need now is your support and willingness to give it a go. Whether you are male or female, 10 or 110 we have a category and race for you!

We have been given the keys to the pavilion at the circuit (shelter for the volunteers at least!), the yellow jerseys are printed and the prizes are ready thanks to racing league sponsors Aquaterra and the Parson Woodforde Pub and Restaurant.

If you ever wondered what racing might be like this weekend is your chance. We have 8 championship categories and you will get 2 races to challenge and develop you as riders. The races are designed for new and developing riders – no previuous experience is required and we have the loan bike fleet available to help you get started. Whether you plan to ride club runs, a charity ride or just for fun the skills and technique you will develop in our races will help you with your ambition.

I have drawn together all the information you may need and details on how you can get FREE British Cycling membership and a race licence in the 2013 racing league guide and FAQ available from the homepage of the website. We will also have coaching for young ones and families as usual at 9.30 and a new rider coaching session at 10.45 with Simon.  Full details here:

I am looking for a few keen volunteers on Sunday. Nothing too tough, a little marshalling and stuff. Please email me if can help – even for an hour after your event perhaps?

Thursday (tonight) is also the night for younger riders to meet and listen to British Cycling’s talent coach Rob Sharman. See the previous posts for details – 6.30pm at Eaton Primary School.

The Friday Sufferfest is shaping up well, we have lots of turbo’s at 6.15 and a few at 7.45 so get in quick. No need to book if you are bringing your own equipment.

Keep riding,

Neil, Kev, Russell and Simon.
