All our sessions are Traffic-Free. Road bikes and helmets are available throughout the day or bring your own and we can help you get the most from it. Before, between and after your session you are very welcome to ride our test circuit as long as you like and we will have coaches available throughout the day to offer support, advice and help you enjoy your riding even more whatever your age, experience level or ambition.
Family and Beginner Coaching: Confidence, Control and Awareness are the essential skills for safe and enjoyable riding whether you intend to ride to work, school or for pleasure. Our socially-inclusive and family-friendly session will build all three skills through developing your core riding techniques using engaging and challenging activities. Balance, cornering, gear selection and group riding are just some of the techniques on offer. Great for those getting started or for riders wanting to boost their confidence levels. Suitable for all ages.
Session1: 9.30-10.30
Session2: 10.45-11.45
Learn to ride (all ages!): 12.00-13.00
Race & Sports Coaching: For those wanting to develop their riding into a sport we can help you! Our experienced coaches are riders and racers themselves and can help you physically and mentally to prepare for a challenge – be it a race, sportive, charity ride or just to help you get the most from your cycling. Techniques such as efficient group riding (through and off, one up and over, team time trial), attacking, race tactics, sprinting and gear selection will be covered to help prepare you for your goals.
Session 1: 9.00-10.15 aimed at regular racers and riders
Session 2: 10.30-11.45 aimed at those getting started
Female-only coaching: Want to improve your confidence, basic technique and skill levels? Want to learn how to corner, brake and change gear effectively? Ever tried riding efficiently in a group of like-minded female riders? Now is your chance in our very popular female-only coaching sessions.
Session: noon-1.15pm
Mountain Biking, BMX and Advanced Bike Handling: Want to learn the core off-road technique or learn how to pump? Our portable pump and mountain bike track is like a life-size Scalextric track that has infinate options to test and challenge you. We will develop your confidence, control and awareness to help you ride safely and confidently everyday – as well as improve your bike handling for road racing or time trialling!
Session 1: 9.30-10.30: Core Technique and Skills development
Session 2: 10.45-11.45: Pump Track skills and development for BMXers, MTBers and road riders
Scoot and Balance Bikes: for ages 18months-6 years. It’s the craze that is taking the country by storm. Balance bikes are perfect for young ones to learn the basics, get active and have some great fun on two wheels !

Road Bike and Helmet Loan: Free
NCA members: £3.00 (u16s), £4 (adults) per coaching session, family £12 per session
Non-Members: £4.00 (u16′s), £5 (adults) per coaching session, family £15 per session
NCA membership: £15 or £20 for a family
Why join the NCA?: Your membership helps us finance coaching and racing events throughout the year, helps keep our free loan fleet of road bikes running and allows us to protect our members through British Cycling’s insurance scheme during our events.
Already a member of a cycling club? Great! We want you to stay a member of your local club and we wholeheartedly want to support local clubs. Your membership with us is a “second-claim” membership meaning you still ride and race under your local club name.
