Well done to all our riders (and families) who made the journey. We hope you found a warm welcome and good fast racing on our technical circuit.
A special thank you – as ever – to all the helpers who made today possible. Superstars!
Regards,
Neil, Kev, Russell & Simon.
We are back into racing this weekend with rounds 5&6 of our Spring Racing League. Racing for youths starts at 9.30, adults at 11.15 and the female-only racing starts at 12.25pm. We would love to see a few more adults having a go at circuit racing. We also have our family and novice rider coaching at 10 and 11 am on the coaching circuit and central area.
Please note, this was originally planned to be the British Schools Cycling Association’s regional championships but this has now moved to Thursday 13th June and will be held on the Tour Series circuit at Aylsham. Thanks to everyone who has contacted me with their school details for this event, we are sending invites out to schools this Friday. If you would like to compete in the regional championships and have not contacted me yet please drop me a line (info@activatingcic.co.uk) and Iwill invite your school to enter you/a team.

THE SUFFERFEST IS BACK!
The Sufferfest will be back from next Friday 17th May. We will have a single session at 7pm and you are all welcome. They will be aimed for summer riding and our workouts will be designed to give you extra endurance (and weight loss!) and some extra zip for the hills, sprints or the odd bit of racing! More next week. You can book as usual via info@activating.co.uk
Enjoy the sunshine,
Neil, Kev, Simon and Russell.
Club sponsors, Pedal Revolution, are putting on an NCA Womans night on Wednesday 8th May from 5-8pm in the Norwich Shop. You will have the opportunity to:
What an awesome day of grassroots cycle racing. A big thank you to all the competitors for supporting us and a huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped us put on another 16 races today. The smile on our riders faces makes all the hard work worth while.
We had some brilliant close racing and the championship tables had some shakers and movers. Well done to Lois Houlgate, Elle Turner, Sophie Wright and Ella Gilbert for winning the girl’s race within the young championships. With this amount of competition we will definitely put on a separate championship for girls in the Summer League.
For the youth riders, the top 3 boys and girls in each youth category scored national ranking points in each race. That’s a big haul of points for the local racers and we are really excited to see their national rankings grow when our results are processed early this week by British Cycling.

The Sun is out, the wind has dropped and we are ready to welcome you to another morning of coaching and racing.
Our popular family coaching for young riders, families and novices will be led by Kev at 11am for around an hour or so. That means young riders under 12 can have a crack at racing first in the beginners Go-Ride racing – which last time out saw 7 year olds Victoria and Hannah take on the boys!
The racing programme is divided by British Cycling’s age groups and based on your age on 1st January this year:
GO-RIDE: Novice riders under 12 and Youth E (Under 8 born in 2005 or 2006)
Youth D Under 10. Born in 2003 or 2004 and u10 on 01.01.2013
Youth C Under 12. Born in 2001 or 2002 and u12 on 01.01.2013
Youth B Under 14. Born in 1999 or 2000 and u14 on 01.01.2013
Youth A Under 16. Born in 1997 or 1998 and u16 on 01.01.2013
Junior Under 18. Born in 1996 or 1995 and u18 on 01.01.2013
Female-only: All ages welcome for females over 16 on 1st January 2013
Adults: All ages welcome over 16 on 1st January 2013.
Our races are aimed at new and developing riders and will improve your road and leisure cycling technique and skills. Tommorrows timetable is:

Try to arrive in plenty of time. All youth racers will need to have their bikes checked and gears measured by Russell and Kev. See the racing guide on the website for details.
NCA regular Jason has had his beautiful Wilier Escape road bike stolen from his partners property in Trowse during the early hours of last Monday morning.
Jason has asked NCA members and firends to keep an eye out in case the thief is daft enough to try and sell it locally! It’s distinctive being black, red and white, having a XXL frame and Continental GP4000 tyres with shimano 105 spd pedals. Any help would be hugely appreciated. email us here at info@activatingcic.co.uk if you hear of anything…
